At Greding airfield, the wedding day becomes a little journey. After their ceremony, the couple arrives by plane, enjoys a picnic for two and discovers thoughtful details, sweet treats and beautiful portraits. At the end, they take off in the very same plane and continue on to their honeymoon.
Arriving at the Airfield
I hear the plane approaching the Venue nearby. As they land, I am waiting beside the red carpet to welcome them. A path across the meadow leads straight to their intimate reception.
After the ceremony, they can take a breath and soak in this extraordinary setting. I welcome them as they arrive, then give them time to enjoy a quiet moment together before the afternoon brings its next surprises.
Their Picnic Table Is Waiting
From the red carpet, the eye is drawn to a beautifully dressed table. Burgundy carries through the runner and napkins, while blush and white add a sense of lightness. Wood, clear glass and golden accents catch the light, making the setting feel both celebratory and relaxed.
The Decor creates a warm setting for their first pause together. As the couple settles in, the meadow becomes their own little place for a moment.
Flowers Point the Way
White pillars line the red carpet and lead the couple across the meadow. Red roses and deep-toned anthuriums echo the rich palette, while lighter blooms bring balance. The Florals guide them from the reception to their picnic spot.
The bridal bouquet carries the same colours. Small arrangements and candles connect the table with its surroundings, while the open landscape remains in view. Every detail feels considered, yet the airfield keeps its own character.
A Travel-Inspired Story That Began Long Before
Their shared love of travel was clear long before the wedding day. The Stationery told the story from the start: the invitation looked like a passport, accompanied by a boarding pass and small airplane motifs.
The theme continues on the table. Place cards shaped like luggage tags bring the idea to life, connecting the anticipation of those early plans with the moment the couple truly arrives at the airfield.
A Personal Touch for a Special Occasion
As the couple gets ready for their portraits, their personal style becomes part of the story. The bride wears a light strapless gown with delicate embellishments and a high slit from Bridalwear, paired with light Bridal shoes. The groom chooses a dark suit with a waistcoat, white shirt and bow tie from Menswear.
Soft waves and natural makeup complete the look. The Hair and makeup bring a light, cohesive finish. Earrings and a necklace by Jewellery add delicate accents, while the Hair accessories complete the hairstyle. The brown travel bag also brings the travel theme into the photographs.

Little Details That Stay With You
Just before the portraits begin, the bride adjusts her accessories once more and the groom reaches for the travel bag. These small, almost casual gestures tell us as much about them as the red carpet and the plane do.
Not every detail needs to follow the travel theme. Familiar pieces can stand on their own: they give the photographs a personal touch and capture what matters to the couple on this day.
A Picnic for Two
At the table, everything grows quiet. Dark napkins, white plates, clear glasses and flowers are carefully arranged. Burgundy fabrics recall the red carpet, while wood and natural details make the elegant setting feel relaxed.
A glass of red wine is poured. The couple raises a glass, draws closer and leaves the bustle behind for a moment. The table has been prepared just for them: a little private celebration in the middle of the airfield.
Something Sweet Is Waiting, Too
Beside the picnic table, another thoughtfully dressed spot is waiting. Rose and red accents add little touches of colour to the light wedding cake, while delicate golden details echo the day’s design. A tiny plane on the cake recalls their arrival.
The sweet table is filled with boarding-pass-inspired cookies, little cakesicles and other treats. The couple samples them together and enjoys the moment before heading back out into the meadow for more photographs. The Cake and sweet treats turn the reception into a delicious stop along the way.
Portraits in Front of the Plane
After arriving, raising a glass and enjoying something sweet, the meadow belongs entirely to the Couple. The Wedding photography captures their moments together on the red carpet and in front of the plane.
With the brown travel bag and plenty of room for spontaneous moments, the photographs tell the story of their love of travel. They laugh, pause and take in the unusual setting. The images preserve more than the place itself: they capture the special journey the couple shared that day.
And Then Their Next Adventure Takes Off
As the afternoon draws to a close, their next destination is already waiting. The couple boards the very same plane and flies off to begin their honeymoon. The story comes full circle: their wedding day began with a flight and ends as they set off on their next adventure together.
